Welcome to my personal page!

I am evolutionary biologist passionate about understanding how species and populations evolve. This includes understanding processess such as speciation, adaptive radiation, adaptation and various forms of selection. I am also interested how these processes influence genome architecture and evolution. To study these processes, I employ modern DNA sequencing techniques (Next Generation Sequencing) and bioinformatic tools.

Although I am interested in various groups across the tree of life, I recently became passionate about invertebrate evolution. Invertebrates comprise an astonishing diversity, yet they remain (mostly) unexplored. What evolutionary secrets lie beyond these amazing, yet unexplored creatures?

On the 1st of December (2015) I began a PhD in Evolutionary Genomics and Zoology at the Natural History Museum in Oslo, working under Torsten Hugo Struck.
